Last Comic Standing Live Tour
Amy Schumer. Gabriel Iglesias. Iliza Shlesinger. Last Comic Standing has only been around since 2003, but the competition has already launched the careers of some of the biggest comedians in the world. In its ninth year, veterans Keenen Ivory Wayans and Roseanne Barr, joined by new judge Norm Macdonald, whittled down the season’s finalists from a pack of talented standups, leaving them with a killer final five and Last Comic Standing’s last standing comic for 2015: Clayton English.
English’s final set may have won him the prize—two words: “gangster Jesus”—but don’t underestimate the rest of the top five, many (or all) of whom one can expect to see in the show’s 2015 tour. Dominique’s irrepressible charm “can make the audience laugh without even saying funny things,” according to The Interrobang, and small-town sensation Andy Erickson won plenty of fans outside of Minneapolis with her off-kilter routines. The quintet, completed by Michael Palascak and Ian Bagg, will take the nation by storm in a live tour highlighting their peerless rib-tickling talent.
