What You'll Do
There's at least one secret ingredient to the tapas tradition: conversation. Tapas not only serve as an accompaniment to glasses of Spanish vino, but also encourage diners to talk to each other without the distraction of large portions of food. During a two-hour tasting, professional chef Lauren Romanoff leads a discussion on the history of tapas and Spanish cuisine. As she demonstrates how to prepare different dishes, you and fellow attendees can volunteer to help. Afterwards, you'll get to taste the finished tapas alongside different wine pairings.

Though Lauren Romanoff graduated from Kendall College Culinary School, it was her time in Barcelona that had the most impact on her cuisine. She discovered a whole new culture of food and wine while living in Spain, and then set out to replicate its flavors. Today, Chef Romanoff shares her unique perspective on food during her classes, and continues to cook around the world.
