What To Expect
Each October, the grounds of Casa Loma—a grand 1914 castle featuring seasonal gardens and tours—are transformed into Legends of Horror, an immersive theatrical experience. This is "promenade theatre," where you are part of the show, walking at your own pace along a 2 km trail that begins in the lower gardens and winds through the castle’s tunnels and darkest spaces, never before open to the public. Throughout the over 1-hour experience, you will be experience a variety of theatrically designed sets where live actors, and iconic horror figures like Dracula and Frankenstein along the way bring chilling characters to life.
The physical location itself creates the setting, with each scene unfolding as you move to the next area. A crescendo of the production is the spectacular 3D projection mapping on the exterior of the castle, which brings the characters of the storyline and the very walls of the castle to life in a stunning display. For those with younger children or who prefer a less intense experience, special Family Hours are available, featuring a lights-on walkthrough with no live actors. It’s a fall event that is filled with magic and mystery of Casa Loma during the Halloween season.

No, the tour is self-guided along a 2 km trail, with staff positioned throughout to direct guests
What is the photo and video policy?
Personal photos are encouraged without flash, but tripods and professional equipment are not permitted unless approved in advance
Where is the entrance and where do guests park?
The entrance is at Davenport and Walmer Rd. Guests are encouraged to use the paid George Brown lots, as limited paid onsite parking is subject to capacity
Are food, drinks, or restrooms available?
No outside food or beverage is permitted, but a café/bar is available at the midway point where restrooms are also located
What is the policy on rain or bad weather?
The event is rain or shine, except in cases of severe weather that would endanger guests and staff, in which case ticketholders would be notified
Are there any age or accessibility restrictions?
The event is not wheelchair/walker accessible and strollers are not permitted. Parental discretion is advised for the standard hours, but the earlier Family Hours are less dark and have no live actors. Pregnant guests should use their discretion as there is significant walking
