The Scouting Report

Last summer marked the start of a new chapter for the Legends, as they played their first season as the Class A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. In 2014, the team will continue to build upon Lexington's storied baseball past with 70 games at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. The schedule is packed with big games, including multiple visits from last year's league champions, the Savannah Sand Gnats.

About Lexington Legends

When the Legends first stepped onto the field at Whitaker Bank Ballpark in 2001, they broke a nearly half-century dry spell of pro baseball in the city of Lexington. That first season, they made their presence known by winning the South Atlantic League championship and trying to rename City Hall after themselves. Since their inauguration in '01, the Legends have sent sent over 80 players to the majors, fulfilling the promise of their name and creating their own legacy.
