What You'll Do

With raw food chef Linda Szarkowski, you'll learn how to prepare tasty raw food staples while learning about the health benefits of making raw food a major part of your diet. After a quick primer on knife skills and techniques, Linda creates dishes including almond milk, kale salad, zucchini noodles, and chocolate mousse, ending the lesson with a delicious feast.

Raw food expert Linda Szarkowski has come a long way in her culinary journeys. Hailing from North Dakota, she grew up on a meat-and-potatoes diet, slowly making her way through vegetarianism before eventually becoming a vegan. But her culinary transformation didn't stop there. When an experiment with a raw food diet resulted in a 20-pound weight loss, clearer skin, and dramatically boosted energy, Linda was sold. Today, she serves as the owner and a teacher at Green Spirit, a Chicago raw food staple that offers classes and foods for cooking-free lifestyles.
