What You’ll Do
An encyclopedia on Texas barbecue could fill volumes, but this lesson leaves the barbecue pit behind to explore other Lone Star dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. Chef Lionel Flores, Jr. splits participants into groups, each responsible for cooking one item using provided ingredients and instructions from the chef’s recipes. At the end of the session, everyone comes together to enjoy the completed feast, which will include bone-in pork chops with a berry applesauce and a dessert.
Meet and Greet
Before the cooking session begins, guests will have about 10 minutes to socialize over complimentary cheese plates, bread, and beverages.

Lionel Flores, Jr.
