A great live performance is something you'll be able to describe to your kids someday, unlike the way they looked midbirth. Scream along to your favorites with this GrouponLive deal to see Steel Panther at House of Blues Los Angeles. For $10, you get one general-admission ticket on Monday, April 8 plus access to the show's after party (up to $19 value, including all fees). Doors open at 9 p.m.
Steel Panther transports their tongue-in-cheek brand of '80s-era hair metal to the storied stage of House of Blues Los Angeles. The leather-clad quartet is equal parts tribute and takeoff of their head-banging forbears, combining blazing guitar solos with sly winks and shameless obscenity in hits such as “Community Property” and “Death to All But Metal.” The Baltimore Sun praises them for their “professionalism and penchant for crotch jokes” and declares that, even as a parody band, they “stand as a better tribute to the ‘80s than many of the current bands from the big-hair era.”
House of Blues Los Angeles
House of Blues Los Angeles has hosted performances by legendary artists, among them Tupac Shakur and Prince. But the confines of the famed venue are just as remarkable, decorated with artwork by Alan Sainte James Boudrot and weathered tin. That tin was taken from a gin mill in the Delta – mere feet from the spot where Robert Johnson is said to have traded his soul to the devil for otherworldly guitar-playing skills and a pick signed “Beelzebub.” And in keeping with House of Blues tradition, the L.A. location keeps a box of Mississippi mud beneath its stage and showcases the “Crazy Quilt” on its wall.
Due to security restrictions, G-Passes must be printed out and presented in person at the event. They cannot be redeemed through Groupon's mobile app.
