What You’ll Do
Most good art is “alive” in a metaphorical sense, but Liza Fiorentinos creates art that truly lives: terrariums filled with verdant, meticulously arranged plants and zen crystals said to have powerful healing properties. During this two-hour workshop, each participant assembles his or her own terrarium over wine, beer, and conversation. You can use vision boards for inspiration, and then build a terrarium with plants, rocks, a zen crystal, and a choice of one out of four glass vessels.
Admission includes all necessary materials for assembling one terrarium, as well as beer and wine.
Build a Living Terrarium
Choose an array of plants to place inside one of the following glass containers: round, oblong, square, or hanging.
Add a Zen Crystal of Your Choice
To help you decide, Liza will describe the 11 available crystals and their benefits—such as a smoky quartz said to bring good luck, protection, and a grounding presence.
Safely Tote Your Terrarium Home
You’ll package your vessel in a gift box before heading home. Guests also receive complimentary care and seed cards.
Owner, Luludi Living Frames
After 30 years in the workforce, Liza Fiorentinos liberated herself from a stifling corporate job in Paris in order to begin her own crafts shop. At her Astoria storefront, Luludi Living Frames, she creates atypical living works of art, including terrariums, moss-covered shoes, and plants set in LED-lit frames. Her business has blossomed from making small pieces for individuals to producing decor for lobbies, receptions, and corporate events.
