LooseCannon Celebrity Basketball Game
Stars from the worlds of music and sports collide in LooseCannon’s annual celebrity basketball game at Chaifetz Arena. In this year’s match, Allen Iverson will play a familiar role on the hardwood, and Michael Vick will apply his outside-the-pocket running skills to a sport where nobody is trying to tackle him. The roster also features Young Money kingpin Lil Wayne and Houston rapper Kirko Bangz. A portion of proceeds from the event benefit Better Family Life’s “Put Down the Pistol” campaign, which advocates against violence using conflict-resolution skills, community leadership, and anonymous crime reporting.
