What You’ll Do
Three things are required to bend glass to your will: a torch, a kiln, and an ample supply of imagination. During this three-hour workshop, professional glass artist Mark Todd Wurtzel teaches you how to use these tools to create your own sparkling works of art.
Learn the Craft of Lampworking
The instructor shares tips on lampworking, a unique style of glassblowing.
Sculpt with Glass
With one-on-one assistance, you will create pendants, marbles, and other small items.
Take Your Art Home
Glass items cool overnight in the kiln, after which you can pick up your finished pieces or arrange for them to be shipped to your home.
Mark Todd Wurtzel
To Mark Todd Wurtzel, sculpting glass is a lot like playing jazz. He improvises as he blows and shapes the molten material into different pieces of art—and he always keeps some good tunes playing while he works. His passion was honed during more than a decade of training, including studies at glassblowing studios in Brooklyn and Boston.
