Marry Harry

Little Harry is stuck. He dreams of becoming a chef, but instead works as a line cook at the failing bistro run by his father, Big Harry—and even that job is in jeopardy, as landlady Francine is ready to kick them out. Little Harry sees a hope of salvation in asking out her daughter Sherri, a woman who knows something about familial woes herself. But what begins as as a relationship of convenience—Harry seeking to save the restaurant, Sherri hoping a boyfriend will please her overbearing mother—soon blossoms into love, with comic results. This new musical from a seasoned team of Broadway professionals explores themes of family, romance, and finding one’s way in the world, with plenty of warmth and the appropriate amount of singing.

American Theater Group

Great American plays deserve an audience. To that end, American Theater Group has dedicated itself to the development of new works and the rediscovery of unjustly neglected treasures. Founded by three artists with dazzling careers already under their belts—including the development of the smash off-Broadway hit I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change—the company took root in 2013. Immediately they began producing original musicals, including a world premiere from the writers of Despicable Me.
