I'm having a great time taking the classes. I took the classes to help with fear of public speaking. I signed up for the 5 classes for improv to help with thinking faster on my feet in public but I went on the wrong night for class, it was the stand up class. The instructor Mayday Mayheim is great. By the 3rd class I was already looking for stand-up open Mic gigs and working on my stage name.

In two acts of family-friendly comedy, the nine ensemble members of Natural Selection: The Burden of Being Alive debut original sketches that examine life and its uncanny resilience at one of the city’s oldest off-Loop theaters. Company mastermind Antoine McKay and music director Alif Muhhamed guide performers through a 90-minute, up-tempo rotation of sketches that pack laughs into bite-size packages, much like trick hot-pepper chewing gum. Members of the diverse, multitalented and multi-limbed cast have trained at joke factories such as Second City and ComedySportz and worked with other institutions including Stage Left Theatre.
