Midwest Vocal Express Barbershop Chorus Presents Shining City on a Hill

The men of Midwest Vocal Express Barbershop Chorus are nothing if not committed. Not only can they sing and harmonize a cappella, but—depending on the theme of the show—they do it in matching penguin costumes, fish masks, Pinocchio clothing, green makeup of plastic soldiers, and even tuxedos. For this year’s spring show—which boasts the tagline “because united is how we stand”—the guys are beating a more patriotic drum. Joining the fellows is the harmonious humorists of Lunch Break, whose parody “Old McDonald Had a Deformed Farm” is a favorite at national and international vocal competitions.
