Scouting Report

Before the NASL wraps up its spring season and cryogenically freezes all its players for the summer hiatus, Minnesota United FC will play one final match under the lights at NSC Stadium. That evening the club will attempt to top the Fort Lauderdale Strikers and climb further up the standings, where they’re currently tied for second place in points. Forward Pablo Campos will also try to cement himself as the team’s best offensive weapon, as he currently leads all Minnesota scorers with four goals.

Minnesota United FC

When the North American Soccer League was reborn in 2011, Minnesota stepped up to claim the resurgent league’s first championship since 1984. Then dubbed the Stars, the team changed names in 2012, becoming the Minnesota United FC and making a second consecutive appearance in the NASL title game. As the NASL matures, Minnesota looks to remain on top without resorting to any cheap tricks such as replacing the ball with a greased melon.
