Missouri Ballet Theatre’s production of Dracula
Choreographed by artistic director Adam Sage and inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula, the ballet recants events that transpire after English lawyer Jonathan Harker travels to Transylvania to conduct a business transaction for a vampire named Count Dracula. When Harker’s fiancée, Mina, and friend Lucy fall victim to Dracula, the supernatural tale spirals further into a hypnotic narrative of vampire brides, crazed zombies, and sensual, tragic love. Imaginative choreography, dramatic dancing, and thrilling special effects bring the Gothic tale to life on stage.

Its founder and artistic director, Adam Sage, has seen more than 20 years of stage performance on four continents, including stints with the Hong Kong Ballet, Ballet Philippines, and California Ballet. Today Sage uses his choreographic prowess and master-teacher status to lead a professional ballet company with 20 dancers from all over the country.
