Moonstruck

It scored six Academy Award nominations, and took home the statues for Best Original Screenplay, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actress. But the lasting charm of Moonstruck is likely due to its winning cast and heartwarming message about tumbling headlong into love. The plot of the surprise 1987 blockbuster revolves around Loretta (Cher), a Brooklyn bookkeeper and widow on the verge of remarrying. The groom-to-be is Johnny Cammareri (Danny Aiello), her late husband's best friend. The only problem is that Johnny is perhaps too mild-mannered, and Loretta's not really in love with him. But when she meets her fiance's wild-mannered brother Ronny (Nicolas Cage), the sparks fly at the most inopportune time, leading to a series of comedic misunderstandings and the infamous slap that made "snap out of it!" part of the '80s vernacular.

Count Basie Theatre

Upon entering the Count Basie Theatre, guests may feel as though they’ve slipped through a crack in time and ended up in the early 1900s. Opulent marble staircases and gold details grab the eyes of visitors, recalling the decadence of Hollywood’s history and gently pulling them to the auditorium. There, the acoustically pleasing construction wins out as sound spreads and funnels through a sunburst dome embellished with a dangling chandelier. Since opening in 1926, the Count Basie has earned numerous accolades, including a nod from Pollstar magazine, which listed it as one of the Top 100 Worldwide Theatre Venues.
