About Bretton Woods Adventure Center at Omni Mount Washington Resort
Located within the 800,000-acre White Mountain National Forest, the woods that surround Omni Mount Washington Resort seem largely untouched by the outside world—save for the occasional human that might be zipping through the treetops. Once you’ve had a taste of Tarzan-esque flight on the Williwaw, head deeper in the forest to experience even more ziplines and two suspension bridges stretching high across the canopies on the canopy tour, slinging people through stunning scenery that changes with the seasons–lush greens in the spring and summer, colorful foliage in the fall, and snow-covered branches in the winter–and lands them safely on a repelling station. Indeed, the resort has activities year-round; when it's too cold to play tennis on the resort's red clay courts, visitors can hit the ski slopes to volley snowballs instead.
Despite nature's infinite wonders, sometimes it's nice to relax indoors. Completed in 1902 and embodying the Spanish Renaissance architectural style, the Mount Washington Resort building took 250 master craftsmen to complete, and subsequent renovations have kept things current while maintaining a classic charm. Today, the resort's red roofs cover guest rooms, dining areas, and a 25,000-square-foot spa. The treatment areas here look out on the area's natural surroundings, making it an ideal setting for facials, massages, and salon services.
