Mudderella Whistler on September 26
Designed by women, for women, Mudderella is a true athletic event. Across the 5–7 mile muddy course, the non-competitive fitness event finds participants trekking across plenty of obstacles, along with mud-filled pits, mountains of hay, and other challenges to be conquered. Some are designed to be accomplished solo, while others ask runners to team up and lend a hand. With obstacles likes Hat Trick, Wheels in Motion, and Mud Majesty, the event encourages its participants to step outside their comfort zone. Every course is different, but they all guarantee athletes a chance to get their hands—and the rest of them—dirty for a good time.
While plenty of fun can be found on the course, the festivities begin before the start line and end well after groups cross the finish line. The day kicks off with a stretch and strengthen session, after which participants can visit The Works and get free temporary tattoos, purple face-paint, and festive ribbons. Afterwards, they can pay a visit to the rinsing stations, change into some clean clothes—muddy sneakers can be donated to a local charity—and hit the after-party. Drinks, snacks, Mudderella gear, and massages will be available for purchase.
