What You'll Get
Dancers use their bodies to express emotions, unlike opera singers, who use their voices, and Punchin’ Jack, who only uses his fists. For $10, you get one ticket for general admission (up to a $25.75 value, including all fees). Choose from the following performances:
- Thursday, February 7, at 6 p.m.
- Friday, February 8, at 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, February 9, at 6 p.m. <p>
Doors open one hour before each showtime.
For the first edition of its Face2Face series, NAC Dance presents 15 emotionally and intellectually stimulating duets from national and international choreographers. Joining the roster of performances, How About You? ascends into Blanchard’s fascination with the individual in a globalized world and the modern concept of identity. The mirrored movements of the identical Stifani Brothers celebrate life, seek the stability of balance, and explore how people define themselves in relation to others while casting a comforting spell upon the mind and body akin to a tummy rub from Kierkegaard. This 60-minute work from the Swedish-based choreographer—the finale of his meditative trilogy about identity—has been performed throughout Europe, including showings at the Maison des Arts de Créteil in Paris and the Nordic Dance Platform’s Ice Hot festival in Stockholm.
