Navy Midshipmen vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
The rivalry between Navy and Notre Dame is almost as old as college football itself. Since 1927, the two teams have met nearly 90 times, and though Notre Dame has a commanding 74–12–1 lead in the series, Navy may have shifted the tide in recent years. The Midshipmen have sunk the Fighting Irish three times since 2007, snapping a Notre Dame 43-game win streak dating back to 1964. Even so, 2014 may still be rough sailing for the Midshipmen, as No. 7-ranked Notre Dame is off to a 6–1 start this season, owing largely to an offensive attack led by senior QB Everett Golson, who’s been able to find his receivers even without activating the ball’s GPS tracker between snaps.
