Diavolo: Architecture in Motion

Highlights from past Diavolo productions

During “Architecture in Motion,” giant steel panels and wooden quarter pipes become a surrealistic playground upon which acrobats, dancers, climbers, and actors clamor and fall. The high-octane choreography is a trademark of the company—as the LA Times notes in admiration, “To say Diavolo is exciting is redundant”—but the energetic movement is just one facet of the performance. Film composer Nathan Wang joins the company for the premiere of a new piece, “Trajectoire,” and spoken-word artist Steve Connell shares his craft during this special event.
