Nick's Comedy Stop, named the best comedy club of 2012 by the Improper Bostonian, has served as an essential venue for up-and-coming comedians for more than 30 years, having hosted Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, and other notable jesters before their big breaks. A seasoned or emerging comic tickles ribs during an 8:30 p.m. show preceded by a host, two opening acts, and a moment of silence for misunderstood punch lines. Upcoming performers include Kelly MacFarland (August 24–25), who skewers the sanctimonious absurdities of yoga classes and exercise with her soft-spoken venom. After making a name for himself in the Boston comedy scene, Don Zollo (August 31–September 1) further honed his craft on the West Coast before returning to his original stomping ground to regale audiences with raunchy stories of his romantic misadventures.

Customer Reviews

I have been here quite a few times now & I love this place, especially for date night. It is so much fun and the acts, while you may not recognize names, are typically pretty good. Well worth going for full price & even better with the groupon.
