What You’ll Do
Don’t be fooled by the unassuming office building in Herald Square—true magic lies within. Make your way up an elevator and down a narrow hallway, and you’ll find yourself at Tannen’s Magic, New York City’s oldest magic shop. Here, drawers full of wands and displays of Houdini artifacts set the stage for the knowledge and skill of professional magician Noah Levine.
Tour the Shop
Noah leads a short tour of a magic mainstay that’s been supplying practitioners since 1925, spinning stories of legendary acts and sharing a few secrets along the way.
Close-Up Magic Show
Gather around a circular table, where Noah makes objects disappear, reads minds, and performs other interactive feats of wonder.
Become a Magician
Take home a gift box with an easy-to-perform magic trick.
Magician Famous magician Harry Blackstone was on TV, and five-year-old Noah Levine was glued to the set. Years later, Noah is a successful magician who performs at places like the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center, and the Four Seasons. Most recently he appeared in a Chrysler commercial that aired nationwide during the History Channel’s “Houdini” miniseries. He also finds time to work with the Conjuring Arts Research Center: a non-profit that preserves historical texts and brings magic teachers into hospitals, community centers, and schools.
