Standup comedians typically draw from real life, such as bad relationships or how the zoo is crazy. Life's a riot with this GrouponLive deal to see Rickey Smiley with special guest Mark Curry at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium. For $42, you get two tickets in lower balcony center, left center, or right center, rows A, C, E, G, or J, on Saturday, July 28, at 8 p.m. (up to a $91 value). Doors open at 7 p.m.

Standup comedian, television host, and nationally syndicated radio personality, Rickey Smiley does it all. Gathering common occurrences and witty observations, he molds punch lines and delivers them with a conversationalist's charm and a male model's confidence. His brand of clean humor has burrowed into ears of all ages across the country, leading to appearances on television shows such as Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns and at the BET Comedy Awards. On stage, Smiley brings to life a lineup of original characters—as well as their relatives—and is often joined by a band, in which he plays instruments and sings. Special guest Mark Curry, who tickled America’s collective funny bone on ABC’s Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper, accompanies Smiley to keep faces grinning and ears clapping throughout the evening.

While audiences laugh along, they can enjoy the pristine sightlines that Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium bestows with its sloping floor of plush red seats. With nearly nine decades of history tucked beneath its floorboards, the auditorium has seen everything from boxing matches to roller derbies to cell phones the size of bricks, but now focuses primarily on showcasing the theatrical arts and comedy shows.

Katy Wills always delivers!! What I loved about the entire show was that he truly did his homework! The fact that he's such a natural and authentic in his work, he made the crowd feel so special!!! He spoke about and made jokes on so many local places in the area! It was simply hilarious! I'm with him on his first joke of the night, it was truly touch and go! Lol he talked about politics, the weather, the people in Greensboro weren't off limits either! It was simply a classic night! I laughed so hard at times that I had to hold my face!!! lol I'd definitely go see him again!!
