Cranking out all the major hits with a controlled frenzy and authentic counterfeiting, the leather-pants-tight band salutes GNR’s upcoming induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with an explosion of headbanging mimicry. Lead singer Brian Andersen rivets in the daunting role of W. Axl Rose, leaving bandanas drenched as he recreates the iconic howls of the legend’s pre-cornrow peak. Fans flick their Bics as staples such as “Welcome to the Jungle” and “Sweet Child o’ Mine” whisk them back to freewheeling times. Although November Rain nails the look, music, and sprit of GNR, it eschews lewd or offensive onstage tomfoolery, such as throwing bras at fans or starting the show four hours late.
