Nunsense: The Musical
Awarded four Outer Critics Circle Awards, including Best Musical, during its 10-year run in New York, Nunsense induces chuckle fits with its darkly comic script and whimsical musical numbers. Five talented actresses bedecked in nuns’ habits open the production by discovering the bodies of their food-poisoned sisters. The women properly bury most of the deceased but are forced to store the final four in the freezer when their money runs out and their shovels melt in the sun. As the wacky gaggle stages a benefit concert to formally send off the rest of their dear departed friends, audiences watch on from front-row seats, which grant unobstructed views of nuns singing and collecting revenue.

About UpStage Theatre
Theater should be accessible for all. That's the belief espoused by UpStage Theatre, a non-profit, volunteer-run company that welcomes everyone from experienced attendees to newcomers who still expect Godot to show up. Each season places an emphasis on works that are as professional in their staging as they are family-friendly in their content. To that end, UpStage produces children's plays—which have included Alice in Wonderland and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown—alongside all-ages classics such as On Golden Pond and Blithe Spirit.
