The Scouting Report

Having finished at or above the .500 mark in 10 of the last 11 seasons, the Chargers are a model of consistency. Quarterback Phillip Rivers has been a driving force behind the team’s steady play, and in 2015, he will try to lead the march back to the postseason. Luckily, it should be easy for him to do so, thanks to the offensive firepower the Chargers acquired in April’s draft. Most notable is Melvin Gordon, an explosive running back who baffles defenders with slick moves and mid-play hypnosis sessions. On the first Sunday in October, he, Rivers, and the rest of the talented roster will take on the Browns at Qualcomm Stadium, where the Chargers posted a solid 5–3 record in 2014.
