Two months into the 2011–2012 season, the Okanagan College Coyotes have skated and scored their way to the No. 2 spot in the tough British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League. A bustling schedule sent Coyotes onto the ice in late September, with early success garnering Dave Mann the BCIHL Defenceman of the Month title in October for his daring assists, ferocious blocks, and brilliant Oxford-style debates. With nine points apiece, current lead scorers Layne Stopanski and Aaron Buat hope to continue smuggling pucks into nets as they face challenges from current league leader Simon Fraser University and third place Eastern Washington University. With a selection of nine remaining home games, voucher holders can choose from a barrage of exciting games, showing off their support by wearing their included team T-shirt and lanyard or by bringing a pet coyote to the game.
