Rondell Sheridan never planned to be a standup. But when he began pursuing the affections of a comedienne, he became immersed in the 1980's comedy scene. Soon he was watching pros such as Rodney Dangerfield and Robin Williams work a room, and, daringly, taking the stage himself. Rondell proved to be a natural, and it didn't take long for his standup career to take off—especially when he hit the comic's jackpot with a slot on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.
Beyond his success as a comic, and later as a writer, television director, and photographer, audiences might know Rondell Sheridan best as befuddled father Victor Baxter, a role he played for six years on Disney's That's So Raven and the spin-off series Cory in the House. Now that Raven has grown up and moved out, Rondell can return to the stage as a solo performer. With his perpetually friendly face belying his razor-sharp wit, the veteran comic engages audiences with his views on relationships, scuba diving, and other scandalous topics, all of which can also be heard on his recent standup album A Banana and a Gun!?

About Old Town Theater
When the Old Town Theater was remodeled in 2012, the owners discovered an architectural gem that waited 98 years to be uncovered. Throughout the theater, they found pressed tin dating back to the venue’s inception as a vaudeville and silent-film house in 1914. The most amazing discovery, however, was a grand staircase that had been left out of the building plans since the 1930s. Now the theater pays homage to its roots, even while offering modern amenities such as spacious seating, a professional light-and-sound system, and a television that shows stuff in color.
