What You’ll Do
Fifty miles north of New York City, a tranquil expanse of lakes, mountain streams, and miles upon miles of hiking trails lies along the Hudson River Valley. With the experienced guides of Outdoor Connections leading the way, you’ll hike through these highlands, stopping to marvel at the varied terrain and old iron mines along the way. After the hike, you’ll unwind at vineyards along the famous Shawangunk Wine Trail to sample locally handcrafted wines.
Hike the Hudson River Valley
Hikes last 4–5 miles over 3 to 3.5 hours, with plenty of breaks to relax and take pictures. Hikes may take place at a variety of parks, including Harriman State Park, Black Rock Forest, Wawayanda State Park, or Storm King State Park.
Breakfast and Lunch
En route to the hike you’ll enjoy a continental breakfast, which which will tide you over until an alfresco picnic lunch in a scenic spot.
Wine Tastings at Two Vineyards
After the hike, groups stop at two local vineyards along the Shawangunk Wine Trail.
