Pam Tillis is the daughter of “Coca-Cola Cowboy” Mel Tillis, but she made it into the Grand Ole Opry on her own merits. Starting out in the early ’80s, she worked her way up from a demo and session singer to a frontwoman in her own right. Fans may best recognize her as the sassy-smooth voice and writing talent behind number-one 1995 hit “Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life).” On her latest solo album, she celebrates Nashville glitz and grit with the appropriately titled RhineStoned.
