During concerts, a musician’s wild side emerges, such as when a guitarist destroys an amplifier or a singer eats a zebra. Observe untamed talent with this GrouponLive deal to The Pastel Project at The Royal House. The festival runs from noon to midnight both days. Choose from the following options:

  • For $29, you get one general-admission ticket for Friday, March 23 (up to a $59 value, including all fees).

Billed as a spring celebration of music, art, and food, The Pastel Project plunges festivalgoers into a springtime celebration at the boutique Royal Hotel. An outdoor stage will weather a soundstorm whipped up over a span of two days, elevating 11 artists above the crowd and the sinister clutches of ravenous moles. The Whigs will headline Friday’s set, bringing a distinctive Southern twang to its up-tempo garage rock, and lead singer Teri Gender Bender of the Mexican punk outfit Le Butcherettes thrills ears with her husky pipes. Brazilian band CSS tops Saturday’s lineup, infusing dance-friendly indie-rock with snotty new wave ‘tude, and STRFKR set legs moving with breezy electropop beats instead of by pretending there’s a rat on the loose.

When taking a break from the music, guests can stroll around the festival, taking in sculptures, drawing sidewalk art with chalk, sampling food-truck fare, and riding carnival rides. Doughboy pools and beach balls transport minds to beachside states of ease without the hassle of placing long-distance calls on seashells.
