I had been once before using another groupon. Both times I enjoyed a phenomenal performance with excellent musicians. Billy the Kid was exceptionally fun.

Peninsula Symphony music director and conductor Mitchell Sardou Klein commands a 90-plus member orchestra of polished musicians through rousing renditions of timeless orchestral works. Romantic Masterworks treats concert-goers to selections from Charles Griffes and Pyotr Tchaikovsky before esteemed Peninsula alums Nikki Chooi and David Requiro tackle Brahms’ stirring double concerto for violin and cello. In March, Irish pianist John O’Conor, known for his riffs on Beethoven’s classics, will lend his nimble ivory-tickling abilities for a performance of the Beethoven’s Emperor concerto, named for his brief stint as Emperor of Antarctica. In May, eardrums can soak in pieces from Samuel Barber and Antonin Dvorak before listening to the 2011 Irving M. Klein International String Competition winner perform.
