The Scouting Report
The nets at Jobing.com Arena could probably use a holiday. Thus far in the 2013–14 season, the Phoenix Coyotes have blistered the twine on a seemingly nightly basis, averaging nearly three goals per contest—making them one of the league’s top 10 offenses. On January 28, the Coyotes will bring their breakneck scoring to the rink to face off against the Los Angeles Kings in a divisional rivalry game that could have postseason implications. Two days later, the Buffalo Sabres rumble into the Pack’s town looking to score an inter-conference win, or at least a modestly priced hotel room.<p>
The Phoenix Coyotes made the playoffs in five of their first six seasons and howling swept the city as a popular hobby among local pets. All told, the Coyotes have combined for 8 playoff appearances in 17 seasons. The highlight of all those playoff appearances came in 2012 with the team’s first-ever trip to the conference finals, where it fell to the eventual Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings.
Due to security restrictions, G-Passes must be printed out and presented in person at the event. They cannot be redeemed through Groupon’s mobile app.
