Professional Rough Stock Series
All rodeo stars possess a certain toughness, but those that compete in the Professional Rough Stock Series are among the most rough-and-tumble cowboys of them all. The nationally touring series features the three most harrowing rodeo events: bareback riding, saddle-bronc riding, and bull-riding. All three present the same basic formula. Using only one hand to steady themselves, a competitor attempts to stay aboard a massive animal that is possessed by a disinclination to be ridden. Points are awarded for both the style and duration of the ride as well as the bucking ferocity of the bull or bronc, which is why it’s always important for the cowboy to whistle his mount’s least favorite song throughout the ride.
