Later this month, the Professional Rough Stock Series gallops into Veterans Memorial Coliseum for the Portland Open—the 11th stop on the nationally televised 2014 PRS tour. The Portland Open will give championship contenders a chance to separate themselves from the rest of the field on the road to the PRS World Finals in February.
Throughout the evening, competitors will rack up points in bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, and bull riding, which is especially dangerous if the bull found out earlier in the day that he’s getting let go at his stable job. Bull riding points leaders John Jacobs and McKennon Wimberly will headline the night’s roster of riders as they jockey for first place in the standings. Bareback riding stars Josi Young and Cimmaron Gerke will also be on hand, with both cowboys chasing Justin McDaniel for first place.
