Rally & Race of Heroes
The Rally & Race of Heroes is an all-day showcase of the adrenaline-packed exploits of humanity. It kicks off with a 5K mud run, inviting participants to push the limits of their own endurance, then transitions into a street bike rally followed by the dirt-thrashing stunts of motocross riders. Other activities throughout the day include martial-arts demonstrations and silent auctions, which are open only to those who are capable mimes. As the sun sets, live music from Buster Jiggs, Tricky Little Devils, and the American Hitmen blister the night air with rocking tunes.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Center for the Intrepid, an organization that works to provide rehabilitation opportunities for military personnel who have endured amputation, burns, or functional limb loss. They also promote research in new orthopedic and prosthetic methods for rehabilitating injured veterans and strive to provide education to the Department of Defense and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.
The tracks at Cycle Ranch thrill motocross devotees with year-round racing events. The 100-acre grounds, rich with red dirt, sand, and oak trees, have hosted events ranging from four-stroke nationals to the USA Motocross Championships to the Texas State Finals. The park invites fans to bring their entire families to its events, including dogs, whether they ride bikes professionally or not.
