What You'll Do
Gunpowder rendered chain mail obsolete as armor, but the techniques for making it can still be used today to craft stylish jewelry and accessories. Join Rebeca Mojica, founder of Blue Buddha Boutique, as she walks you through the fundamentals of Medieval-era metalworking and decorating them in Celtic fashion—with simple patterns that look deceptively intricate. Depending on your choice of workshop, you will leave the hands-on experience with either a ready-to-wear star pendant or bracelet.
Discover a Peaceful Use for Chain Mail
Rebeca Mojica crafts jewelry using the same ring-weaving techniques that once created armor for knights on horseback.
Choose the Jewelry You Want to Craft
Depending on the workshop you choose, you'll make either a star pendant or a colorful bracelet that resembles Celtic knotwork.
Decorate Them in Dazzling Fashion
Master simple patterns that look far more complex than they actually are.
Each event is capped at 10 participants; each event requires a minimum of 3 participants in order to take place.
