Their Sound: A dynamic blend of rockabilly and surf rock laced with disco, funk, folk, traditional Russian music, and good ol’ fashioned rock ‘n’ roll
Their Origins: Elvis Presley in dream form imploring founder Igor Yuzov to play rock ‘n’ roll. The musician, an immigrant from the former USSR who clandestinely listened to rock music, obliged, corralling a few musician friends who quickly built a loyal fanbase thanks to a one-of-a-kind sound and energy-filled sets.
Their Shows: Infectious parties with a live soundtrack that sounds straight out of a surf movie set in a Russian beach dreamworld. This is thanks to Yuzov’s palpable, humor-laced stage presence, the consummate musicians alongside him, and hits such as “Everybody Twist,” “Pizza Man from Mars,” and “Bacon!”
