In roller skating, as in dangling from the edge of a cliff, it's important not to let a fear of falling make you miss an opportunity to hold someone's hand. Don't leave today’s GrouponLive deal hanging to see the "Queen City Massacre" presented by Regina's Rockin' Roller Derby at the Agribition Building at Evraz Place on Saturday, February 4, at 2 p.m. For $7, you get one ticket for general-admission rush seating (a $15 value).
At the "Queen City Massacre," a quadruple header of fast-flying, hard-hitting roller derby flattens fans with junior (ages 10–17) and senior-level bouts during an invitational scrimmage featuring derby athletes from across the country. An entire day of action showcases athletes of all ages, skills, and bubble-gum bubble blowing abilities, allowing spectators to witness plenty of elbow-padded wallops and four-wheeled whacks. An abundance of charisma flows forth from the player profiles of skaters, blockers, jammers, and refs. Miss Diagnosis, Silva Fox, and other senior athletes welcome into their ranks junior skater Cheequah, who will not be initiated until she can show that she can manoeuver in pudding-filled skates. Between bouts, fans can browse a vendors' alley or snag an autograph from one of the visiting Saskatchewan Roughriders football players.
