Return To Grace

When Elvis Presley passed, he left a crown to fill. But when audiences see Steve Michaels, they might very well believe Presley still walks among them. The actor and crooner, who bears a striking resemblance to The King, steps into Presley's blue-suede shoes and white leisure suits as he struts across the stage, belting out hit after hit during Return To Grace. The musical celebrates Elvis's reign, from his early days shaking his hips through "Hound Dog" and "Jailhouse Rock" to his latter days shaking his hips through "Suspicious Minds." Throughout the show, a cast of musicians and dancers support Michaels as he reenacts famed moments such as Elvis's Ed Sullivan appearances and the Aloha From Hawaii concert.

Ed Mirvish Theatre

In the 1920s, a blur of vaudeville and motion pictures orchestrated by the Pantages theatre circuit lit the auditorium of this theatre. Back then, the venue's 3,373 seats made it the largest theatre in Canada, and the Thomas Lamb–designed interior made it one of the most elegant. When the Pantages empire fell, the Ed Mirvish Theatre lost its name and its vaudeville, beginning an era that saw it divided and traded until it wound up in the hands of David Mirvish. Mirvish recognized the elegance in the theatre's marble lobby, murals, and named it in honour of his father.
