On Sunday, February 19, Toronto’s award-winning Hannaford Street Silver Band welcomes the Boston Brass, returning with a new show of flair and artistry. - Conductor James Gourlay: The Scottish conductor’s career began with a unique twist, when as a young schoolbay he’d made the mistake of being tallest in his class. His teacher handed him a tuba, and 40 years later, Gourlay continues his love affair with the instrument, and the conductor now performs at events in the U.S., Scotland, and England.
