What You'll Get
Country music, like a baby's first words, makes people feel good despite the depressing subject matter. Savor the magic of empathy with today’s GrouponLive deal: for $29, you get one reserved ticket to the Stars for Second Harvest concert at Ryman Auditorium on Tuesday, October 18, at 7:30 p.m., plus an autographed poster of the show's star Craig Wiseman (up to a $59 value, including fees). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Reserved seating is located on the main floor, rows N–S or in the balcony, rows A–C or J–L. Seats will be assigned by the auditorium upon ticket purchase.
For the seventh year in a row, acclaimed songwriter Craig Wiseman assembles an all-star lineup of country and acoustic musicians for the Stars for Second Harvest concert, an annual benefit show with all proceeds going to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. Founder of the hit factory Big Loud Shirt Music House, the human song machine known as Craig Wiseman is a Nashville treasure, cranking out hits such as "Live Like You Were Dying" as if his life depended on it. With sponsorship from O'Charley's, Wiseman and his crew of handpicked troubadours work to keep pantries stocked and hearts aflutter in a night of picking, grinning, and extrapolating. Filling out the stock of six-string philanthropists, contemporary Christian songwriter Dave Barnes spins yarns about faith and love, whereas Kix Brooks, formerly the former of the duo Brooks & Dunn, flies solo in a set filled with hits about requited trucks. Today's GrouponLive deal also includes an autographed poster from Craig Wiseman, perfect for framing in the nursery to inspire future prodigies.
Formerly the home of the Grand Ole Opry, the gorgeous, hallowed Ryman Auditorium is as swollen with American history as George Washington's handcrafted menagerie of balloon animals. If its walls could enunciate, they’d tell of visits from John Philip Sousa and Johnny Cash. With fine, church-like seating, the heavenly confines of the Ryman help country-music connoisseurs stay comfortable throughout their gleeful armrest drum solos.
