Timed perfectly for Valentine’s Day, the six short, contemporary ballets performed in Love Stories share themes ideally suited for a romantic night out. Experience dances set to music from composers including Gershwin, Schubert, Ravel, French jazz legend Claude Bolling, Puccini, and local St. Louis composer Barbara Harbach.
Love Stories includes “Fasi d’Amore” by New York choreographer Nilas Martins, created especially for the Saint Louis Ballet. In addition, Saint Louis Ballet dancers will be performing choreographed works by former principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, Christopher d’Amboise (the pas de deux “Pandora’s Box”), Miriam Mahdaviani (“Between the Lines,” a pas de deux), Gen Horiuchi (“Head Over Heels,” “La Vie”), and Michael Uthoff (“In G Major,” a pas de deux).
