The Scouting Report
In the final home game of the 2014 season, the Talons will have a chance to give their fans a signature victory. San Antonio hosts the Cleveland Gladiators, who boast the top record in the American Conference through 12 games. In order to best their interconference foe, the Talons will look to strong performances from their standout players. Offensively, runningback Mykel Benson has been a workhorse, racking up the second-most yards and touchdowns of any rusher in the league. On the defensive end, Kelvin Rodgers has consistently read quarterbacks’ eyes and diaries to lead the league with nine interceptions.
San Antonio Talons
Formerly located in Tulsa, the Talons relocated their roost to San Antonio’s Alamodome for the 2012 season and soon commanded the skies, placing first in the AFL’s Central Division during their first regular season in Texas. Now embarking on their third season in the Alamo City, a top squad of players tackle opponents and lob passes on the 50-yard field while the Talons’ mascot, Swoop, pumps up fans.
