The Scouting Report
After achieving a conference-best 14–4 record in the 2012 regular season, the San Antonio Talons fell just shy of an ArenaBowl appearance, losing to Utah in the National Conference semifinals by only one point. Hoping to conquer the regular season once again, head coach Lee Johnson leads the Talons into the season opener at the Alamodome, where they posted an 8–1 record last season. Along with a defense that led the league in tackles and a receiver corps composed entirely of peregrine falcons, 2012’s rushing leader Chad “Tank” Cook returns to the gridiron to build on last season’s 14 TDs.<p>
