Fine Wine Buyer
As the fine wine buyer and private events manager for Chelsea Wine Vault, Sarah Marley is no stranger to the process of picking and pairing wines. She has more than 13 years of experience in the business and is an expert on wines from France, Italy, Germany, Austria, and California. But despite her impressive resume—which also includes time as the maître d’hôtel at Blue Hill—Sarah believes the skill of wine pairing really boils down to experimenting. “The more you taste, the more you understand the different flavors, textures and components—and why something works or it doesn’t."
Sarah is one of several wine educators who may host this tasting.
Where You'll Meet
Tucked inside Chelsea Market, Chelsea Wine Vault keeps its stock of fine wines in what New York Magazine calls a "cavernous, brick-walled wineshop" with "arched, fortified walls." To help shoppers navigate the selection of quality wines, the shop boasts a staff of highly trained wine experts who can steer connoisseurs and casual wine-drinkers alike towards the perfect bottle.
