Although not one of the five traditional senses, a sense of humor is the only thing that allows humans to answer knock-knocks at the door. You’re there with this GrouponLive deal to Sarcasm Comedy Club, located in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. For $19, you get two general-admission tickets to a comedy show (a $40 value, including all fees). This Groupon is valid for the following shows:

  • The Legendary Wid and John Kensil on Saturday, June 9, at 7:30 p.m. or 9:30 p.m.
  • Sarcasm Comedy Competition on Saturday, June 23, at 7:30 p.m. or 9:30 p.m.

Misery dissipates as buoyant clouds of laughter shower the denizens of Sarcasm Comedy Club, a humor hub hosting two Saturday night shows per week that spotlight local and national headlining comedians. Commandeered by WIP radio personality Steve Trevelise, who honed his chops emceeing at the esteemed Catch A Rising Star, Sarcasm keeps its calendar stocked with fortifying rations of funny. On June 9, The Legendary Wid, a veteran jester, shatters prop-comedy stereotypes with elusive setups and a vaudeville-inspired act. Ruthless funnyman John Kensil, who earned recognition as a joke writer for celebrities Joan Rivers and Jay Leno, also inspires giggles on June 9 with tales based completely on events in his own life. He has regaled audiences with anecdotes of growing up with six siblings as well as horror stories about his ex-girlfriend, a Stevie Nicks impersonator in a Fleetwood Mac cover band. On June 23, laughs are rallied and tallied at the club’s comedy competition, where 10 up-and-comers duel to the delight of audiences and judges.

Sarcasm Comedy Club

“This ‘PC’ world has never been more ready for Sarcasm,” exclaims Sarcasm Comedy Club founder Steve Trevelise. The WIP radio personality and veteran comedian, who honed his emceeing and managerial chops at the esteemed Catch a Rising Star, believes that “the comedy stage is the last place for freedom of speech.” Although some shows are rated PG and some are hard Rs, Sarcasm Comedy Club refuses to sanitize its performers for sensitive ears. For those who can take a joke, the uncensored humor hub’s calendar offers two Saturday-night shows per week that spotlight local cutups and national headliners. Those who dream of becoming comedians themselves can enlist in the Sarcasm Comedy School, in which they’ll learn the craft of standup, including joke writing, audience mining, and how to make your own heckler spray.
