One thing you might not expect to hear in the longest-running play in American history: a joke about Presidential candidate Donald Trump. But that—and a lot more—is exactly what you’ll get in the first-ever New York run of Shear Madness, the mystery-farce that’s run for years in Chicago, Boston, and other cities throughout the country. Updated to a new setting—a barbershop just down the street—and injected with a dose of topical humor, the play—which changes every night—retains the things that have made it a hit for years: a cast of oddball characters, plenty of whodunit spirit, and a bad guy that changes nightly based on what clues the audience uncovers. Perhaps this time, some of the hints will turn up in Trump’s hair.
