Holiday variety show erects 35 ft. singing tree from 150 human boughs, with song & dance routines & former American Idol winner
A Christmas tree provides more than shelter for gifts—it’s a convenient hanger for light strings and a shady respite from its own harsh glow. Enjoy holiday splendour with today’s deal to see the Edmonton Singing Christmas Tree at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium on Sunday, December 18, at 7 p.m. View the seating chart and choose from the following seating options:
- For $10, you get one seat in the second balcony side (a $21.65 value, including all fees).
- For $15, you get one seat in the second balcony centre (a $32.90 value, including all fees).
- For $20, you get one seat in the first balcony (a $53.40 value, including all fees).
- For $25, you get one seat on the main floor (a $63.90 value, including all fees).<p>
In its 42nd year, the Edmonton Singing Christmas Tree variety show erects a 35-foot singing tannenbaum formed with 150 twinkling human boughs. Singers and dancers propel themselves over the stage and up the aisles of the Jubilee Auditorium. Choirs and soloists, including American Idol winner Ruben Studdard, belt out holiday favourites that rouse both yuletide splendour and spontaneous growth of bushy white beards. Audience members feast eyes on a troupe of Santa Clauses traipsing before the living tree with tight-knit choreography. Since all proceeds benefit less-fortunate local children through the Santas Anonymous organization, ticket holders can assuage their holiday guilt from late thank-you notes or eating gingerbread men headfirst.
